Financial Controller – Strategic Finance Role – Belgium

Your function
Our client is a respected Belgian organisation combining industrial know-how with a focus on safety, compliance and digital innovation. In this context, the Financial Controller plays a key role in linking strategic financial planning with operational performance.
- Lead the full budgeting and forecasting cycle
- Deliver insight-driven financial analyses to support cost optimisation and executive decision-making
- Act as liaison between accounting and controlling teams and advise the Head of Finance
- Own full balance sheet controlling and ensure accurate reporting and compliance
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, HR, Procurement and Business to maintain performance alignment
- Prepare high-impact presentations for ExCom and Board meetings
- Contribute to strategic projects including ERP implementation and digital tool development
- Play an active role in team problem-solving and performance-driven initiatives

Your profile
- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Engineering from a reputable institution
- 4 to 8 years of experience in a financial or advisory environment
- Background in consulting or audit (Big Four or equivalent) is a strong asset
- Affinity with digital transformation in finance is a plus
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Comfortable balancing strategic perspective with detailed execution
- Effective communicator across functions, including senior executives
- Proactive, accountable and hands-on team player
- Excellent command of Excel, experience with SAP and Power BI is a plus
- Fluent in French or Dutch with good command of the other national language and English
- Analytical thinking
